    A collection of cyberpunk clothing

Your clothes are your identity. Your armour. Your camouflage. Getting them right is a key part of surviving, and thriving, in Cinci's streets.

    The Mechanics of Style

    Wearing Clothes

Your Character needs to wear clothes. The game will not let you go out onto the streets unless you're wearing something on your feet and something on your body.

    Changing Rooms

Many items of clothing can be changed freely, but footwear, outfits, outer wear, and main body clothing can only be changed in a changing room. Living spaces all have changing rooms, as do the Gym, the Dojo, some bars, and various other facilities. Changing clothes is generally a free action. You can also save your current set of clothes as a named 'outfit' for a single-click change.

    Clothing Slots

Your clothes are divided among several outfit slots. Generally, you can only wear one item in each slot, though there are exceptions.

    • Accessories: Up to 5 minor pieces (belts, etc.). Some are mutually exclusive.
    • Headgear: Hats of all kinds.
    • Eyewear: Goggles and glasses.
    • Face: Masks of all kinds.
    • Outer wear: Coats and jackets.
    • Outfit: Combined clothes for torso and legs (suits, dresses). Cannot be worn with separate upper/lower body wear.
    • Upper body: Shirts of all kinds.
    • Lower body: Skirts, pants, and leggings.
    • Legs: A rare, distinct slot from lower body.
    • Gloves: Hand coverings, which may cover rings.
    • Rings: Jewelry for the hands.
    • Footwear: Shoes and boots.
    • Concealed items/clothing: Small items hidden under your main outfit.
    • Chest: For female characters, accessible by wearing skimpy tops.
    • Skin: Your exposed skin, often hidden by other items.

    Clothing Stats & Dressing Up

All clothing gives modifiers to skills, temperature, or style. Pay attention to what you're wearing because it will change the play of the game.

    Dressing for Skill

Some clothing will give you bonuses (or penalties!) to certain Skills as long as you wear it. It is helpful to have a variety of different pieces that you switch out depending on what you're trying to achieve.

    Dressing for Temperature

Most main clothing items will increase your Perceived Temperature. If the actual outside temperature plus your clothing's value gets too high or too low, you will face checks to avoid penalties. Winter temperatures can get down to 27°F, making layers essential.

    Dressing for Style

Most clothing provides a bonus to one or more styles. Your Dressed to impress stat is the sum of these bonuses for a chosen Core Style. This stat can help you get into places with a dress code and improve your Reputation, especially in the Projects. Certain locations require you to be dressed in a specific style (e.g., Dressed for the gym, Dressed to party).

    Absolutely Styling

Some items of clothing work really well together. If you wear those items together, you'll get an additional +3 Dressed to Impress. Experiment to find these combinations.

    • Hippie Shades and Harem Pants.
    • Little Black Dress and Ankle Boots.
    • Military Cap and Cropped Jacket.
    • Perfectly Tailored Jeans and Ankle Boots.
    • Tight Leather Jeans and Goth Boots.
    • White Linen Jacket and White Linen Pants.
    • Lace Shrug and Lace Cami Top.
    • Pink Party Dress and Pink Platform Booties.

    Clothing Shops

    • Toho: Stores in the Cinci Slums and the Airport with a wide variety of basic clothes.
    • Clothing Alley (Gamble Street Market): Has slightly more upscale clothes.
    • Other Vendors: Various other vendors in the Slums, the Market, or Palisade will have specific pieces of clothing, such as a Toolbelt at Bob's Tools.
    • Border Market: You can sometimes find some pieces of clothing cheaply here.
